the rain is a regular and often long visitor at the moment, records are falling. most plants enjoy it.
we are preparing a trio of gigs in a trio version of the Django Fretts, while on our free weekends, Lea and I organise the house.

Melbourne International Jazz Festival, at the recital centre, and at the late jam at the Jazz lab.
dressed up to see the bamboos. ended up not going, at home with Jean planting some instead.
And so Jean and I spent a whole afternoon and evening together. it’s the small things.

when the power goes off…
sometimes when the winter has been wet, when the dams everywhere overflow, when the ground can’t absorb water anymore, the weather gods decide to add yet another downpour.
it happened in 2011, it happened in 2016 & it happened yesterday after 2 stormy days brought us about 100 mm of rain.
