Say this about a child. In you they will always find a use. Say this as well. They cannot imagine a world where you do not love them, for what else should one do but love them?

children eventually outgrow their parents. we all know it. wether we like it or not is irrelevant. there is no point in denying or fighting. it is the way things needs to be. confronting and beautiful all at once. but in witnessing this transition happen, in aknowledging being overtaken, in helping and facilitating this constant growth and blossoming, in the tender look of Baloo and Bagheera watching Mowgli walk off to the village, there lay the purest form of love i could ever have imagined.
I was walking through the library when i saw this.
a schoolwork by Zsuzsa. it’s always good to meander through library isles. one never knows what one can find.

when passion fruits are ripe they just drop from the vine. a stressed vine will drop unripened fruits. the most likely stress factor is insufficiant or irregular watering.
for two years now i blamed the birds. a short google search would have spared me the view of a netted passion fruit vine on the fence.

Roshan P. , 42.
father of two. fellow migrant. hospitality veteran. on any usual day works ten to fifteen hours in two different joints. many current employers.
spends his spare time buying, fixing, using and selling back motor vehicles. then does it all over again. no apparent reasons. that’s just one thing he does.
has also earned money knocking out opponants in a MMA fight, using his jujitsu black belt skills. surfs regularly too.
for some reason got really scared when I took a photo of him holding a big bunch of flowers at work.
fears are such an irrational thing.

two years ago on this day I signed the lease on my house. on my way back I showed it to the kids from the outside. in the evening Jean drew this.
fast forward two years and I still live in this house, healthily anxious about the path ahead and feeling grateful for the last two years: the efforts, the work and the process leading to a recovery which allowed me to experience another kind of heart break, which in return will yield many more lessons.
new beginnings never end.

safe arrival
feeling a bit old and emotional, with another milestone – first solo trip to Melbourne of our daughter. not for too long though. with three children all spread out in three different houses, a bit of self care and me-time was on the agenda. it took the shape of the Bendigo Jazz Club at the old church on the hill.
the flyer looked like this,
